Jordana Wilkes '27 Wins First Place in Coding Competition

Congratulations to Jordana Wilkes '27, who competed in the Germantown Friends School (GFS) “Quackathon” and won 1st place in the advanced coding category with her team. The Quackathon is an opportunity for students in Grade 6 - 12 to show off their coding skills. The team built a “Food Redistribution Platform,” which dynamically connects restaurants who have leftover perishable food with individuals and organizations struggling with food insecurity. Jordana and her teammate from GFS were the only two girls competing in the advanced coding track, and there were about 20 teams participating.
